Episode 87: Building Your Side Hustle

Regardless of your financial aid package, college is expensive. You have to worry about paying your rent, feeding yourself, and buying other essentials to survive those four years. I remember there was at one point in my experience I had three jobs to pay for my necessities.

Today, Antoinette Dao joins us to talk about her undergraduate journey and how she builds her side hustle from the ground up and created a small business known as Dao Academic Consulting. She is a first-generation Mexican-Vietnamese college graduate who consults in financial literacy, academia, and career preparation. In her day job, she is a Senior Risk Associate at a Global Bank.

Through her business, Antoinette challenges the fear of money in low-income communities. She supports underrepresented communities to build their career journeys by leveraging her skills in financial literacy, academia, and career preparation. Tune in and hear how she built a successful small business with more than a hundred clients.
