We are excited to introduce you to some of our newest co-hosts. Ginny and Alejandro join our team with a passion for paving the way for students and especially first generation students. In these short episodes, each of them will introduce themselves and share with our audience a little about their own personal first-gen stories and journeys to where they are now. So tune in and get to know our growing team!

Episode 73: Ginny - My Journey to a Passion for Mentoring Students

Ginny is one of our newest co-hosts. A Vanderbilt University graduate and University of Central Florida doctorate, she shares her story of the anticipation of getting into college, feeling completely out of her league in college, and the struggles she faced post-graduation. Ginny also talks about the works she does now helping first gen students through her work at Support our Scholars.

Episode 74: Alejandro - From Undocumented to Policy and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

Alejandro is one of our new co-hosts. He is a first-generation college graduate from St. Edward’s University and a DACA recipient. He shares his story growing up in Houston’s 5th Ward and learning how his citizenship status determined the resources he had access to.
